Five Minute Friday…almost on Saturday

“On Fridays around these parts we have a little tradition. We throw caution (editing, revising, and worrying) to the winds and just write. Without wondering if it’s just right or not.

For five minutes flat. You’re welcome to play along.

If I knew I could, I would….
If I knew I could, I would pick up the guitar that sits dusty in the little music nook I created in my room and teach myself to play.  I would play all the songs that I want to sing in worship, but am afraid of.
If I knew I could, I would start writing my next book. Throw caution to the wind and just start typing all the words and thoughts and reflections in my head like Henri Nouwen in Here and Now.  I would not worry about the time or the money or even about the consequences of sharing my heart, but only revel in the joy of releasing that heart to the world.
If I knew I could, I would stop worrying about life.  I turn away from the things of this world that make me anxious and live right here, right now, present and intentional.
